NWO AWIS goes to the Lights

Join us for hot chocolate and relaxing conversation and then see the beautiful lights throughout the Zoo with your family and friends.

We will meet in Carnivore Cafe to enjoy our hot chocolate and cookies courtesy of NWO AWIS from 5:30 to 7 pm for the social part of the evening. The remainder of the time the Zoo is open is for you to explore it with your family and/or guests.

AWIS members and their guests receive a group discount if we have more than 20 in our group. Adults are $11 and children are $8.

Please RSVP via the evite invitation (if you received one) or to Edith Kippenhan by Friday, 5 pm, Dec. 19th. Please let us know in your RSVP if you cannot be there between 5:30 and 6 pm to get your ticket at the main gate.

If you would like to promote the advancement of women in science in Northwest Ohio, please volunteer for our Nominations and Elections Committee, Membership Committee, or Program and Publicity Committee! Contact an officer (see below) for more information.

Constitution and bylaws

The chapter's purposes are: Our intention is to accomplish these goals primarily by:

Anyone interested in issues concerning women in science is welcome to participate in our mentoring/networking activities.

For holding chapter office and voting in chapter elections, official membership in the chapter is required. It, in turn, requires membership in National AWIS.

We cordially invite you to join AWIS on line here. When joining AWIS, be sure to select our chapter, Ohio (Northwest), in the Primary Chapter Membership pull-down menu. For more membership information, please contact one of the officers listed above.
